For visiting teams, referees and parents
Visiting the Sportfreunde
A warm welcome to Sportpark En de Meer. Here's how to get here, where matches are played and where to get a drink after the match.
Getting here
At the entrance gate to the artificial pitch
A match at “En de Meer”
is tough on every rival here.
Since time began there's naught to win
but frustration and soles burnt thin.
This hangs on the gate you come through to the artificial pitch, and once more at the clubhouse. It's meant in good sport. Once the final whistle goes, there's plenty to take home after all: a cold beer at the food and drinks container, and on Sundays Frühschoppen (late-morning Sunday drinks) at Das Labor.
On the pitch
Two pitches, one clubhouse. Matches are played on artificial turf.
Artificial pitch
All home matches this season are scheduled on the artificial pitch. It has LED floodlights, and a 19:45 kick-off on a Friday is normal for us.
Boots
On artificial turf, wear moulded studs or astro turf trainers. Please leave screw-in studs on the bus.
Grass pitch
The grass pitch is right next to the clubhouse, with a covered terrace at the side of the pitch.
After the match
At senior home matches and almost every youth match, the food and drinks container by the artificial pitch is open. Frühschoppen (late-morning Sunday drinks) runs 10:00–14:00 in the clubhouse, which we call Das Labor.
We'll add details on changing rooms, showers and the referees' changing room as soon as the groundsman sends them.
