Your data
Privacy
This page explains what data is generated when you visit this website, who receives it and how long it is kept. In short: we do not use cookies, tracking or analytics tools.
Controller
Sportfreunde 1930 Uevekoven e.V., Sportanlage Uevekoven, Barbarastraße, 41844 Wegberg, represented by the board (see Legal notice). Email: info@sportfreunde-uevekoven.de. As a club, we are not required to appoint a data protection officer; please send any questions to this address.
Hosting and server logs
The website is hosted by Netlify, Inc., 101 2nd Street, San Francisco, CA 94105, USA. Each time the site is accessed, Netlify processes technically necessary access data: IP address, time of access, page requested, browser and operating system. Without this data, a website cannot be delivered or protected against attacks. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We have a data processing agreement with Netlify; Netlify is also certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Fonts and images
Fonts, photos and download files are stored on our own web space. Loading the page does not open a connection to Google or any other provider for them.
Storage in your browser
We do not set cookies. In two cases the site stores a small entry in your browser's storage (localStorage), and only when you do something yourself: when you load the Instagram feed (we remember your consent) and when you put your name down on a rota (so that you can take it off again). Both stay on your device and can be deleted at any time in your browser settings.
Visitor statistics
To see which pages are read and how people find us, we count page views ourselves. For each page view, and for clicks on email, phone, download and calendar links or links to other websites, the page sends a short message to our database at Supabase (see below). We store: the time, the page viewed, the language, the website you came from (only the name of the site, such as “Google” or “Instagram”), and a rough classification of your device (phone, tablet or computer, browser and operating system). We derive this classification from the identifier your browser sends with every request anyway; we do not store the identifier itself.
We do not use cookies for this, we do not store anything in your browser, we do not read anything from your device and we do not store IP addresses. There is no identifier that would let us recognise you or link a visit to a person. Only the Board sees the figures. If your browser sends “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control”, we do not count you. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in shaping the website around the needs of our members and guests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The entries are deleted automatically after 25 months.
Directions maps
The maps on the Contact, Club, Clubhouse and Visiting pages are images stored on our own web space. The map data comes from OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors). Opening these pages does not connect you to Google or any other map service. Only when you tap the map or a route button does Google Maps or Apple Maps open in a new window. From then on, the privacy policy of that provider applies, for example the one from Google.
Instagram content (two-click solution)
On the home page, in the club life section, we show posts from our Instagram account (provider: Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland). When the page is opened normally, only preview photos from our own web space appear there. No connection to Meta is established.
Only when you click “Load Instagram feed” is the Instagram embed loaded. Your browser then connects to Meta's servers and transmits, among other things, your IP address and information about your browser and device; Meta may set cookies in the process. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you give by clicking. You can withdraw it at any time by deleting the website data in your browser. Details: Instagram's Privacy Policy.
Links to other websites
We link to FuPa, fussball.de, Instagram, Facebook and the club shop at Jako. These sites only load when you click the link. From then on, the privacy policy of the respective provider applies.
Trial session request
You can request a trial session using the form on the “Get involved” page. We store the team, the player's name and year of birth, for children the name of a parent, email address and phone number, how you would like us to contact you, the previous club and any optional details you give (how you heard about us, your message). The board sees the request in the Board area and passes it on to the team's coaching team. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps taken at your request prior to membership). We automatically delete completed requests after 180 days at the latest. If the form cannot be reached, it offers you the same details as an email, which you then send yourself from your email app.
Calendar subscriptions
On the team pages, you can subscribe to the fixtures as a calendar. The calendar file is stored on our web server and contains only fixture dates from fussball.de, no data about you. Your calendar app fetches it regularly; this generates the usual server logs (see Hosting). If you choose “Google Calendar”, Google's privacy policy applies to the subscription.
Donate
The “Donate” page shows our bank details and a QR code for bank transfers; the code is not loaded from a third-party service. If you donate via PayPal, PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A. processes your payment data in accordance with its own privacy policy. We receive your name, email address, the amount and your message and use them for our accounts and, if you would like one, for the donation receipt. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) and (c) GDPR (retention obligations under tax law).
Rotas (volunteer link)
For events and home match days, the board sends round a link to a rota. There you can put your name down for a shift with your first name and surname, without logging in. We store the name, the shift and the time of the entry. Others who have the link see your first name and the first letter of your surname (“Jens D.”); only the board sees the full name. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (organising the running of the club). The entries remain stored in the rota and in the board's archive so that the club can trace who helped at which event. You can take your name off yourself via the link as long as the rota is open. If you would like your name removed later, a message to the board is enough.
Board area
The Board area under /vorstand/ is only for board members and people given access by the board. When access is requested, we store the name, email address and the position given; the administrator is notified of a new request via WhatsApp (Meta Platforms Ireland Limited), with name, position and email address. For approved accounts, we also store the password (in encrypted form only), the role and the documents, events and notes stored there. To keep you logged in, the browser stores a login token in localStorage. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR. We delete accounts and their data when someone leaves the board or asks us to.
Database (Supabase)
Trial session requests, rotas, visitor statistics, the Board area and the events on the “Events” page run on Supabase Pte. Ltd., 65 Chulia Street, 049513 Singapore. The data is stored on servers in Frankfurt am Main (region eu-central-1). We have a data processing agreement with Supabase; the EU standard contractual clauses agreed in it apply to any access from third countries. The events are fetched when the website is built; simply reading the “Events” page sends no data to Supabase.
Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR) and the rights to rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20). You can object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21). You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future. To do so, write to info@sportfreunde-uevekoven.de.
You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen (North Rhine-Westphalia Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information), Kavalleriestraße 2–4, 40213 Düsseldorf, www.ldi.nrw.de.
